GIFI Gauge App - Privacy Policy

The GiFi Gauge App is provided by GaugeInnovations. This policy explains how the GiFi Gauge iPhone and Apple Watch apps and the GiFi Gauge Android and companion Watch Apps handle information.
1. Information the App Uses
GiFi Gauge connects to a GaugeInnovations Wi-Fi enabled gauge selected by the user. The app uses the local gauge Wi-Fi network to receive live telemetry values, gauge icons, connection status, and alarm indicators from the gauge.
The app may store the following information on the user's device:
- The selected gauge Wi-Fi network name.
- The user's sound on/off preference.
- The selected alarm sound name.
- A custom alarm audio file, if the user chooses one.
- Recent telemetry values used for in-app display, charts, and CSV export.
2. Local Network Access
GiFi Gauge uses local network access to communicate with the user's gauge over the gauge's local Wi-Fi access point. This network is used for app-to-gauge communication and does not provide internet access.
The app does not use local network access to track users, inspect other network devices, or collect browsing activity.
3. Apple and Android Watch Companion App
When the Apple or Android Watch companion app is used, the phone app sends current gauge display information to the paired Watch . This may include connection status, live gauge values, gauge icons, and alarm indicators.
This information is used only to display live gauge data on the paired Watch and to provide alarm haptics.
4. Data Sharing and Export
GiFi Gauge does not sell user data.
GiFi Gauge does not include advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking SDKs.
The app does not send telemetry data to GaugeInnovations servers. Telemetry data remains on the user's device unless the user chooses to export a CSV file using the iOS share sheet. When a user exports or shares a CSV file, handling of that file depends on the destination app or service selected by the user.
5. Custom Alarm Sounds
If the user selects a custom alarm sound, the app copies that audio file into the app's local storage so it can be used as the alarm sound. The user can reset the app to the default alarm sound at any time.
6. Data Retention
App preferences and custom alarm files remain on the device until the user changes them, resets them in the app, deletes the app, or removes the app's data.
Recent telemetry history is kept temporarily for display, charting, and CSV export during app use.
7. Children's Privacy
GiFi Gauge is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy
GaugeInnovations may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted by replacing this policy with a revised version and updating the effective date.
