The gauge external relay driver can be used with particular GaugeInnovations.com gauge models to extend warnings and alarms to external devices such as fans, pumps, alarm lights and sirens. |
The gauge external relay driver has two relay driver outputs controlled by the gauge firmware.
Relay Driver Enclosure (top view)
Relay 1 : Provides a current limited (200ma) solid state connection to ground if there is an AMBER warning or RED alarm on the gauge icon number 1. For example, Relay Driver 1 could be used to switch on an engine cooling fan or alarm strobe light/siren via a 12v high current relay.
Relay 2 : Provides a current limited (200ma) solid state connection to ground if there is an AMBER warning or RED alarm on the gauge icon number 2. For example, Relay Driver 2 could be used to switch on a transmission cooling fan or alarm strobe light/siren via a 12v high current relay.
Both relay drivers are designed for 12v negative ground vehicles. A LED indicates which relay driver is operating.
The External Relay Driver will be recognised by the gauge at power up factory reset.
